Culinary Craft Getaway

Escape for a two-night weekend stay exploring the culinary and craft beverage boom in Beacon. The Hudson Valley is exploding with craft beverages and culinary bites with its proximity to the Culinary Institute of America and local farms. Stay at the Beacon Hotel, sleek boutique style accommodations on Main Street with access by foot to shops, eateries, and craft beverage stops. The city of Beacon is small and walkable located 60 miles north of NYC.It is a stop on the Hudson Line on Metro-North. If you haven't heard, Beacon makes the perfect getaway and captures your interest immediately regardless of how diverse.



Spend a few days exploring this quaint city on this special getaway.


Day 1 Friday
​Arrive for a check-in at the Beacon Hotel at 2:00. Enjoy a welcome cocktail at the bar. The rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Your hotel is located near coffee houses, boutique eateries, antique shops, and art galleries worth exploring. 

Day 2 Saturday
​Breakfast begins a short walk away at Beacon Pantry serving from 8:00 to 11:00. Your getaway also includes a 3.5/4 hour tour of the Beacon Bites & Beverage Walking Tour ; we meet in front of the mural at 314 Main Street at 2:30 pm. Experience a tour by foot hosted by Hudson Valley Bucket List; the perfect combination giving you innovative bites and beverages by local artisans and chefs. Spend a few hours with us exploring the East Side of Main Street on a Beacon Bites & Beverage walking tour. 

The tour ends at 5:30 giving you time to relax at the Beacon Hotel. Reservations for dinner can be made in your name with the time being confirmed at the time of booking. 


Day 3 Sunday
Breakfast begins at 8:00 am at Beacon Pantry and check-out is at 11:00 am. You have free time to shop, visit Dia:Beacon, Hudson Beach Glass, or even take the boat over to Bannerman's Island just a short distance from the Beacon Train Station.

Dia:Beacon, a modern art museum located on the river front has helped pave the way for a Beacon Renaissance. The proximity to NYC (60 miles north) and the Culinary Institute of America has created a culinary explosion for the foodie, beer lover, or bourbon drinker. The history is built in to Beacon with the oldest homestead in Dutchess County, the Madame Brett Homestead, a post office created under the New Deal by FDR and even the mural inside was overseen by Eleanor Roosevelt while being painted by a favorite Woodstock artist, Charles Rosen. Beacon even has an abandoned castle, Bannerman's Castle, that will make you feel you took a plane ride to Scotland.
